A Bunch Of Banana Video Games For Fruity Fun
Peelcasso
Ever been playing a video game and thought to yourself ‘man, I wish this game had more banana representation’? We can relate. To help combat the banana blues, we made this list of video games where you’ll find those fun-damental fruits in abundance. You’ll no longer fear that unsatisfied feeling, of a gaming sesh without your fill of those sweet sweet finger-shaped snacks.

Mario Kart
Don’t underestimate these slippery little suckers. Keep a few of these versatile peels up your proverbial sleeve, and you’ll be laughing all your way to the finish line. Hurl them into the path of your opponents to spin them out of place, dashing their dreams of victory and bruising their ego in the process. In Mario Kart: Double Dash!! you’ll find an exclusive variant, a rather grumpy looking guy. This giant banana looks like he hates everyone, well, wouldn’t you if your only purpose in life was to be slung lifelessly at oncoming traffic?

Ms. Pac-Man
In 1982 we had such milestone events as the release of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Cats opening up on Broadway, and of course, the addition of a banana in the release of Ms. Pac-Man. Naturally, this was only added with the female portrayal of Pac-Man…but at least take her out for dinner first before you feed her your banana. Once you’ve gorged on that pixelated goodness, you’ll gain a whopping 5,000 points, so in this case, there definitely is money in the banana stand. The fruit also features in Pac-Man Championship Edition, and Pac-Man World, worth 2,000 and 800 points respectively. Hmmm, that’s odd, I’m starting to feel a sudden urge to pac up a picnic, and devour a diabolical amount of fruit. Totally unrelated.

Donkey Kong Country
Ever wondered what life would be like if we used bananas instead of dollars as currency? If that’s a fantasy you’re keen to experience for yourself, look no further than Donkey Kong Country. It’s a tad unrealistic, (no, not the fact theres a monkey who can operate a mine cart, that’s perfectly reasonable) due to the fact Donkey Kong needs to protect his banana bounty so intently. Why is his stash so susceptible to being stolen, when there appears to be absolutely no risk of banana shortage in the game, with bananas being seemingly everywhere and anywhere for the taking?

Super Monkey Ball
It’ll be tough to peel yourself away from this party platform game, that’ll drive you round the bend! You’ll find a fruitful amount of bananas to acquire, both individually and in bunches, ultimately adding points to your score. Depending on which version of the game you are playing, the worth of your average yellow fruit will vary dramatically, from 50 points, to a totally bananas 1000 points each! Consume enough bananas and you’ll even gain extra lives. If only it was that easy in real life.

Fanatics Gone Bananas
Didn’t your Mom ever tell you that if you look at screens too much you’ll get square eyes? Why not take a break and keep those peepers perfectly spherical, by playing a round or two of Fanatics Gone Bananas in-between video games? You’ll take it in turns to lay prompts and play your best response, in a bid to become Top Banana. Forget LAN parties, it’s time for BAN parties, with this entertaining card game jam-packed full of fruity fun.
